HitmanPro is a popular program to find viruses, trojans, spies and other harmful programs. It is a free antivirus scanner with an external cloud database containing information about malicious files. The scanner takes into account a number of characteristics inherent to malicious programs and on this basis identifies threats.

Typically, these are threats that manifest some kind of activity, rather than sit idly by waiting. HitmanPro does not touch many types of malware and does not check every file. Thanks to this, a full scan does not take more than 5-10 minutes. According to the developer’s statistics, most modern viruses are not designed to harm the system but to steal personal data and therefore should be active. This type of malware is what this application focuses on.

The developers themselves call HitmanPro a second opinion. In my opinion, this is a very good formulation. And that’s right: a program of this kind, of course, can’t replace large anti-virus packages, but it’s an excellent way to check the results of the main anti-virus.

In general, it is a great addition to the basic antivirus. The program does not conflict with complex antiviruses, does not require installation and works as a scanner for free (if treatment is required, the program will activate a 30-day trial period).
